Mohel’s Waitin For Ya       (tune of “Hotel California”, Felder, Henley, Frey, 1977)

(all four-line verses same chords as first verse, “picking” intro, see next page)

                                                                                                     “an allegory”

Em                                               B7

On Yah’s narrow pathway, To the City Fair,

Dsus2                                                                 Em6

We taste the Glory and Power, But the Spirit says “beware”.

C                                                           G6

In our own eyes our heart  Is as shimmering light,

Am7                                               B7

But YAH’s word will try us: Is it wrong or right?

The heart is desperately wicked, And it may as well

Be the door to perdition, - Pathway to hell.

But the word of salvation,  Will not lead us astray;

Trim the foreskin of our heart, And teach us to say…

C                                                                 G6

Welcome now; the mohel’s waitin’ for ya!

              Am7

Such a nice surprise,

                                                  Em

Soon your heart will be a smaller size!

C                                                                                                       G6

Soon you’ll be “frum” ‘cause the mohel’s waitin’ for ya!

      Am7

So dry your tears,

                                           B7

The holy word will address your fears!

In the mirror of Torah, We’ll see every vice.

All thoughts of corruption, Every evil device.

In their master’s chamber, Demons gather for the feast.

One lie to hide another, But it only feeds the Beast!

Last thing I remember, Running for the Door,

Had to find the way back, To the innocence of yore.

“Relax”, said the “night man”, “We are programmed to deceive!”

…You know that I’m a liar, Who forced you to believe?

                                 (chord sequence extro)

Mohel:(Hebrew word), means usually professional circumciser.

Frum: (Yiddish term), rhymes with broom, defined as “obedient

to Yahweh’s instruction”.

                                    (some tabs see next page-enjoy!)

Page 5

Tabs for “Mohel’s Waitin’ For Ya”, courtesy Mike Herberts,

                                “6-string-videos.com”. Thanks Mike!

To play “tabs” for guitar, the 6 horizontal lines represent the 6 strings of a guitar. Top line represents the first string, the high pitched “E” string (the thin one). Bottom line represents the 6th string, the low pitched “E” string (the thick one). The numbers on the lines represent the fret to be pressed on that string. Sort of “play guitar by numbers”. Note that the early “B7”

shape uses strings 1-4, the latter “B7” uses strings 1-5.

        Re-arrange fingers accordingly.

C/F (or F)               Am

Ghost riders in the sky

     Am                                              C

An old cowpoke went ridin' out one dark and windy day
  Am                                       E7

Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
          Am

When all at once a mighty bunch of red eyed cows he saw
C/F  (or F)                                         Am

Plowin' through the ragged sky, and up a cloudy draw

Their brands were still on fire and their hoofs were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiney and their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
He saw the riders commin' hard, and he heard their mournful cry

Yippie-I-a, yippie-I-o
Ghost riders in the sky

Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred,Their shirts all soaked with sweat.
They're ridin' hard to catch that herd, but they aint caught 'em yet'
'Cause ya gotta ride forever on that range up in the sky,
On horses snorting fire, as they ride on, hear their cry.

Yippie-I-a, yippie-I-o
Ghost riders in the sky

As the riders went on by him, he heard one call his name,
If you wantta to save your soul from ever ridin' on our range,
Then cowboy mend your ways today, or with us you will ride,
Tryin' to catch the devil's herd, across these endless skies.

And as he wakened from his dream, his face was dripping sweat,

A dream so real to see and feel he never would forget,

For Yahweh showed him mercy in that vision of the night,

‘Twas all it took to turn his heart, from evil to the light.

Yippie-I-a, yippie-I-o
Ghost riders in the sky

Picking pattern for “Dust In The Wind”. Often called “Travis pick”.

Notice that for the intro for each group of 4 chords, the 2nd and 3rd fingers are stationary, with the index finger and pinky being lifted or placed as needed.

This is a handy picking pattern for a lot of songs, in this book too. Since it only uses 4 strings, you can use simplified cords. For “Yahshua Calls, We Foller”, I like to strum only the 3 bass strings, for really simplified chords.

Amazing Grace                                       (John Newton, 1779)

(try tune of “House of the Rising Sun”, American folk song)

                                             Am, C, D, F7, Am, C, E7;   Am, C, D, F7, Am, E7, Am.

                                                or  C, F7, C, G, C, C7, F7, C, G, C. for traditional tune.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught... my heart to fear. And Grace, my fears relieved.

How precious did that Grace appear... the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares... we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far... and Grace will lead us home.

Yahweh has promised good to me... His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be... as long as life endures.

And when this flesh and heart shall fail, and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,  a life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten thousand years... bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to praise Yahweh... then when we've first begun.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now, I see.
