Here’s Mud In Your Eye!
There are many uses for pure bentonite clay. One is for personal care. It is of value as a cleanser, both internally and externally, which in turn promotes health and peace of mind. It seems to function as a result of its fineness, as the extremely small mineral particles collectively expose a very large surface area to their environment per unit weight of clay. The surface seems to be mildly active in chemically binding redundant material in their vicinity, such as toxins and excess minerals.
For a skin cleanser, I find it most economical to use by mixing it about 5-1 with distilled water. This will result in a mineral jelly-like substance that can be used instead of soap. It is milder, in that it does not dry out the skin as much as soap, but stronger in that it seems to be more effective against toxins, and selectively so. It seems to be more effective if used in a sweat bath or hot foot bath, where it actually pulls toxins out of skin pores, which have been opened by the heat. I like to soak my feet in as hot water as I can stand till I perspire freely, then rub the clay mud all over (hair and scalp too), then rinse off. You get so clean you want to laugh out loud! Really gets hair clean.
As an internal cleanser, I mix it with about 2 or 3 times more distilled water, then mix an ounce or so of this creamy fluid into a cup of drinking water, to drink. I find it soothing, and a very mild laxative. If you wish to use it this way, you may wish to begin by using a smaller amount, as I have heard of rare cases of adverse effects. Tastes a bit like skim milk, sort of chalky. Acts as a “poor man’s” chelation. Very mild, completely natural, and not too expensive. An added plus over traditional artificial chelation chemicals, is that the purged materials go out in the solid, rather than the liquid waste. I would think that this would reduce the load on kidneys, which I understand filter out waste to be disposed as a liquid. Usually, people with weak kidneys are advised to avoid chelation, so clay might be a good option for them. It may also be diluted with a bit of wine or fruit juice, or tea. I recommend do not use with milk. The calcium in the milk would probably clog up the clay, and make it inactive.
I believe that an additional benefit of drinking clay solution is weight control. It has no calories, and helps to purge the toxins that cause a nervous desire to eat excessively. Drunk clay will also remove some beneficial minerals, in addition to harmful ones and toxins. To counter this, improve your diet by avoiding excessively refined foods such as white flour and white sugar. Eat more fresh raw fruit and vegetables, and the types of natural food that the “good book” says are good for us. Bon appetite!
