                                                               Epilogue

These pages are written in response to the admonition on the last page of an Obadiah School assigned term paper. The course; Bible 1:1, spring 1984. The instructor, Elder Jacob O. Meyer, pastor of the “Assemblies of Yahweh”®, Bethel, Pennsylvania, 19507. The name of the paper, Isaac-Son Of Promise. The grade given to the paper was “B”, and the admonition to the student, Walter Schwenk, from the instructor, was, “Good job, but could have been deeper in spots.” And so, if the reader can overlook the crude lack of integration with the aforementioned term paper (copy available on request), here is an attempt to add hopefully not only “depth”, but also a more intense focus on one of the most “fertile” topics of Bible controversy, the “Akedah”, or the binding of Yitschak ben Avraham, on the mountain of Moriah. Of course, the purpose of this study is to resolve controversy, not generate it. Should, however, the unintended occur, please share your thoughts with the student, for the topic is interesting. And is there not a reward from on high for words of truth, as we hope to have written, and that may follow? Glory, please, to Yahweh!
