Isaac-Son Of Promise I'm sure that most of us have stopped to pause in reading, at one time or another, in our journeys through the sacred scriptures, at what many consider to have been the ultimate test of loyalty and faithfulness up to their time. "Go, and bring your son Isaac to Mt Moriah... and cause him to ascend...", said Yahweh, the faithful one; true, merciful, and just. The writer is no exception. I have stopped there many times. I'd also like to hear what you've thought about Abraham's trial throughout your spiritual sojourn, and would like to share my thoughts on the subject, thoughts from over 20 years ago. In the 1984 essay, on document page 8, (originally document page 5) is the core theme of both itself, and also the essay of 2004. The parallel to page 8 above, in deriving understanding from the Hebrew roots, in the current (2004) study, would be the section "Torah on Guard!"
